Hey, I’m Alex —
or Dr Alexander Fedorov
MA (Sociology & Asian Studies), PhD (Education, HKU)
Hong Kong & Asia | Religion, plurality & secularity
Sociology & education | Autoethnography & writing
Liminality | Freedom | Infrastructures of aliveness
I’m a researcher and writer working between Hong Kong, Thailand, and elsewhere—often in Europe and the US.
I study the ecology of knowledge production: how different environments shape attention, freedom, creativity, and moral agency. My field sites range from education and religion to Hong Kong, travel, AI-mediated writing, and rave culture.
