Hey, I’m Alex
or Dr Alexander Fedorov

MA (Sociology & Asian Studies)
PhD (Education, HKU)

This is a one-page link hub.
I’m a researcher, writer, and traveler working between Hong Kong, Thailand, and elsewhere—often in Europe and the US. I study how people stay emotionally resilient and ethically awake inside systems that don’t always care—through education, travel, and rave culture. Here’s where you can usually find me online:

  1. afedorov.com — main hub for writing, projects, and CV (always “in development”).
  2. Bluesky (@afedorov) — daily micro-notes on writing, post-PhD life, AI, and liminal spaces.
  3. Instagram (jatb.nl) — travel life: outdoors, hotels, streets, festivals (almost no photos of me; since 2011).
  4. Travel diaries (Russian) — longform travel/rave reports and experiments in Russian (10+ years of archives).
  5. Academic + professional — Academia.edu, ORCID, LinkedIn.
  6. Tools + traces — NomadMania, SoundCloud.

Thanks for reading. If any of this resonates—and you’d like to collaborate—feel free to message me.
